SAUSAGE STUFFED MUSHROOMS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb of Lottie’s Everything (Breakfast) Ground Pork Sausage
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 - 16 oz whole mushrooms, de-stemmed
  • 1 - 8 oz package of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded gouda cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (optional)
  • chile flake & lemon zest (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees & de-stem your mushrooms [💡Tip: You can dice the stems and reuse in the mixture]
  • Brown one pound Lottie’s sausage to pan, chopping into little bb pieces.
  • Sauté onion on low-medium heat until translucent
  • In a medium-size bowl, add cream cheese, parmesan and gouda. Mix together. 🧀 Cheese party! Then fold in sausage mixture. Sausage party!
  • Line a sheet pan with foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking oil
  • Using a spoon, scoop mixture into mushroom cap and place on sheet tray
  • [Optional] In a small bowl mix breadcrumbs with melted butter. Add chile flake and lemon zest. Drizzle on top of stuffed mushrooms
  • Bake at 350° for ~25 minutes until golden brown and mushrooms are tender
  • [💡Tip: Broil for a few minutes at the end to get those golden tops]
